Clear aligners
Millions of patients are smiling with more confidence thanks to clear aligners. Clear aligners are a modern approach to teeth straightening that are virtually invisible. Dr Kaplan specialises in clear aligners.

What are clear aligners?
Clear aligners are a series of custom made trays made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You simply pop in a new set of aligners approximately every week, which will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you are straightening your teeth.

What are the benefits?

-

How long does it take?
The actual length of your treatment depends on the severity of your case. Simple cases can be completed in as little as 6 months or less. We will give you an estimate of how long your treatment will take at your initial consultation.

How much does it cost?
The cost of clear aligner treatment varies depending on the complexity of treatment. If you have private health insurance with orthodontic coverage, clear aligner treatment is covered to a similar extent as braces.

Do I have to wear the aligners all the time?
Aligners should be worn approximately 20 to 22 hours per day and changed every 2 weeks. They should be removed when eating and drinking.
How often do I need to visit the orthodontist?
Once you start treatment, you will visit us every 6-8 weeks to check your progress and receive your next set of aligners. These progress appointments only last 15 minutes, so are easy to fit into your busy schedule.
