Over 5 million patients are smiling with more confidence thanks to Invisalign clear aligners. Invisalign is a modern approach to teeth straightening that is virtually invisible. Dr Kaplan is a certified Invisalign provider.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign uses a series of custom made aligners made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You simply pop in a new set of aligners approximately every 2 weeks, which will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you are straightening your teeth.
What are the benefits?
Maintain good oral health - Invisalign aligners are removable so it is easy to brush and floss your teeth and maintain your oral health during treatment.
Smile with confidence during treatment - Start to see improvements in just a few months and best of all, most people won't even know you're going through treatment because the clear aligners are nearly invisible.
Maintain the same active lifestyle you've always loved - With invisalign you don't have to worry about your treatment interfering with your active lifestyle.
You can eat whatever you want - There are no food or diet restrictions during treatment.
Invisalign is ideal for your busy schedule - Appointments are short and can be flexibly scheduled if you need to travel.
How long does it take?
The actual length of your treatment depends on the severity of your case. Simple cases can be completed in as little as 6 months or less. We will give you an estimate of how long your treatment will take at your initial consultation. For patients requiring smaller corrections to their smiles, Invisalign Lite and Invisalign i7 treatment is available. These involve fewer aligners, take less time, and cost less than full Invisalign treatment.
How much does it cost?
Invisalign costs vary depending on the complexity of treatment. If you have private health insurance with orthodontic coverage, Invisalign treatment is covered to a similar extent as braces.
Do I have to wear Invisalign all the time?
Invisalign aligners should be worn approximately 20 to 22 hours per day and changed every 2 weeks. They should be removed when eating and drinking.
How often do I need to visit the orthodontist?
Once you start treatment, you will visit us every 6-8 weeks to check your progress and receive your next set of aligners. These progress appointments only last 15 minutes, so are easy to fit into your busy schedule.
