How long does it take?

If worn as recommended, Invisalign Teen takes the same amount of time as traditional braces. The actual length of your teen's treatment depends on the severity of the case. Simple cases can be complete in as little as 6 months or less. We will give you an estimate of how long treatment will take at initial consultation.

How much does it cost?

Invisalign costs vary depending on the complexity of treatment. If you have private health insurance with orthodontic coverage, Invisalign treatment is covered to a similar extent as braces.

Does my teen have to wear Invisalign all the time?

Invisalign aligners should be worn approximately 20 to 22 hours per day and changed every 7-10 days. They should be removed when eating and drinking.

 

How often does my teen need to visit the orthodontist?

Invisalign treatment often requires less time with the orthodontist than traditional braces do. There are no adjustments to make, no broken wires to fix. Once treatment starts, follow-up appointments are every 6-8 weeks to check progress and receive the next set of aligners. These progress appointments only last 15 minutes, so are easy to fit into your teen's busy schedule.
