Orthocare Orthodontics announcement in response to COVID-19

The most recent government announcement has stressed the importance of social isolation to flatten the curve and reduce the spread of COVID-19. Based on advice from the Australian government, NSW health authorities and the Australian Society of Orthodontists, we will be temporarily closing our practice and rescheduling all appointments to help reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

If you have an appointment scheduled within the next few weeks, we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule. We are currently reviewing each patient’s treatment plan to minimise the impact that this delay will have on your overall treatment time.

Rest assured, we are still here for you and will do our best to keep your treatment on track. Of course, if you have any questions or concerns regarding your treatment during this time, please contact us via phone or email.

If you have an urgent need during this time, such as pain or injury or you require urgent help with your appliance, please call our office so we can determine the best course of action for your specific situation.

We will be offering virtual appointments using Zoom or Facetime to monitor your treatment remotely. Several videos have been posted on our website here with detailed instructions on how to take the photos needed for a virtual appointment. The more information I have, the better I will be able to advise you moving forward.

Several instructional videos have also been posted here explaining how to resolve many common orthodontic treatment problems at home.

Again, please reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you back in our practice soon. Please stay safe.

Sincerely,

Dr Nicole Kaplan and the Orthocare staff
